Wire bottom cages and wire mesh shelves can be hard on a chinchilla's sensitive feet. Chins need a way to "get off the wire" when they want. Like our Seagrass Mats, these Maize and Seagrass Mats provide protection for chinnie feet. These mats are also safe to chew (which most of our chins seem to enjoy!) These mats measure 12 x 12 inches (30.5 x 30.5 cm) and are woven using both natural maize and seagrass. They are considerably thicker than our regular Seasgrass Mats.
