However, a few chins do seem to require extra calcium and, without it, they may suffer from a calcium deficiency seizure referred to as a "calcium fit." For those few chins who do suffer from this condition, cuttlebone is an excellent way to provide the extra needed calcium. Cuttlebone is the internal shell or bone of the cuttlefish, a squid-like marine mollusk. Cuttlebones are very high in calcium and chins seem to enjoy chewing on them. Our natural cuttlebones are 6 to 8 inches long.
