Blue Cloud Chinchilla Dust is the "gold standard" of chin
bath dusts. It is not too hard and not too soft. It
cleans without damaging the fur or skin.
Chins should get dust baths at least three times per week.
In areas of high humidity dust baths should be given
more often. Dust baths should last a maximum of about
five to ten minutes. Longer tends to dry out
a chinchilla's skin.
The dust in a chinchilla's dust bath should be cleaned
regularly (in other words, remove the "poops"), and
replaced about every two to three weeks. |
