Wire bottom cages and wire mesh shelves can be hard on a chinchilla's sensitive feet. Chins need a way to "get off the wire" when they want. I had bought similar mats once at the local pet store and didn't get much response from our chins. I bought this one on a whim when I was buying some other things from ChinWorld and boy was Cuzco enthusiastic about it! He loved sitting on it, laying on it, and chewing on it. Both our chins pretty much ate the whole thing after about two weeks. Now, I plan to order it every time I need something else!

This is a great product. My chinchilla (Cheeky) loves this mat. It makes for great clean up. Cheeky loves to sleep on the mat. I highly recommend this product.
