So I got this book and it was ok. I just wish it had more information in it. I know its good to learn about their history but I wanted more information on how to care for them. But overall this is a good book for first time chin-baby owners.

This book has a lot of information that is good. I know a lot more things about chinchillas now. I think every one should have this book and I recommand this to every one because it really helps you, (CAUTION) I found out that one or two things are NOT true. Happy Reading!

Most of the information in this book can be found on the Internet. Basic information mostly, but I like to have it for my Chilla-Sitters for when we go out of town. I got this book with my first Chin and it was very helpful. I do recommend this for first time chin owners. =)

If you are just starting out or thinking about getting a Chinchilla, this is the 1st book to start with... It gives you the basics and lots of pictures. It gives you a very good overview of what is to come.

This book is very compact & full of knowledge. It gives you the basics on Chinchillas & Chinchilla care. I would've liked more details; but information on Chin's are so hard to come by. This book is good for young adults - adults. I am an adult and read it in less than an hour, but it was informative. I find it comes in handy to point out chin facts to people who say "just bring her in the car, or leave her alone when you go on vacation". You can't argue with facts in black & white!
