Bene-Bac™ Pet Gel provides chinchillas with the needed beneficial bacteria for intestinal stabilization and proper digestion.

It is a lactobacillus acidophilus product developed to provide the colony forming units needed to ensure the beneficial bacteria needed for proper digestion. Each gram provides 10 million colony forming units of viable lactic acid producing bacteria. Highly palatable, Bene-Bac™ helps chins under adverse conditions such as traveling, breeding and even antibiotic therapy, all instances in which the delicate balance of good bacteria can be compromised.

It comes in a 15 gram syringe. The syringe plunger is graduated in grams for accurate controlled dosing.

One major reason for using Bene-Bac™ instead of yogurt is that the milk sugars and carbohydrates in yogurt may promote overgrowth of the harmful type of bacteria.

Bene-Bac™ has a long shelf life at room temperature, but should not be stored next to radiators or other heat sources.

Excellent for a sick chin
12/06/2008 - by Jessica from Farmingville, NY
My vet sold me this stuff for ***$40.00***. I was a little hesitant but my chin had a bad case of diarrhea and he wasn't eating. I gave him this 2x a day for 3 days as advised by my doctor and his appetite came back, the diarrhea went away and my chin loves the taste. He gobbles it right off the end of the syringe. I definitely recommend having some on hand since it's so cheap here and your vet will probably prescribe this anyway if your chin gets sick.

Great For Chins On The Mend
08/11/2007 - by Kelly Reins from Long Beach, CA US
Our little guys got into a major tiff. The vet gave us a great oral antibiotic for the wounds but our little injured guy quit eating on day 2. I figured he had an upset stomach so I started him on Bene-Bac. I gave him 1 gram every other day and his appetite came back to normal. He loves the taste! I love the results. I used it for one week after I quit the antibiotics and this seemed to work out well for him.
